If you don’t have a Valentine this year that’s perfectly fine!
How about having a Galentine with your best friends? Or a fun self-care day?
Grab some wine, turn on Netflix, and put your creativity to the test.
Here are the steps to recreate this Valentine’s day look:
Products used:
- The Paper Studio Rhinestone Stickers
- Laura Mercier Setting Powder
- Anastasia Beverly Hill Luminous Foundation
- CC Beauty Professional Face/Body Paint (Oil Based)
- Mehron Paradise Makeup AQ Palette (Water Activated)
- The Crayon Case The Matte Book (Eyeshadow)
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
- Ardell Duo Lash Adhesive (Clear)
Step 1:
For this look, I used the CC beauty paint set (this set is oil-based). To help create a smoother blend, make sure to moisturize your skin first.
Step 2:
With your brow pencil, lightly draw a heart all the way around your face.
The end of your heart should be right on your chin.
Step 3:
Darken the outline of the heart with red face paint.
Step 4:
Time to dive in!
Grab your foundation brush and paint the entire inside of the heart with more red face paint.
Step 5:
When you’re done, fill in your brows.
You can use your brow pencil or a burgundy shade of face paint.
Step 6:
Set your face with setting powder.
The setting powder will help remove some of the oils. You want to have a nice matte base to apply eyeshadow.
Step 7:
Next, you’re going to using the same steps you would take to create a normal contoured look.
- Use white or pink face paint for the highlights of your face.
- Use a dark brown eyeshadow to create the contour of your cheeks.
Step 8:
Take your foundation and apply it to the outside of the heart. Cover the untouched areas of your face. If you think your heart is uneven, use your foundation to clean up any uneven areas.
Step 9:
Create any eyeshadow look of your choice.
Try using reds, pinks, and browns for a seamless blend.
Don’t forget your eyeliner, lashes, and your favorite red lipstick!
Tip: Set your eyelids with setting powder or remove the excess face paint before applying your eyeshadow.
Step 10:
What’s Valentine’s Day without a little bling?
Apply rhinestones all around the perimeter of the heart to make it stand out.
For an extra touch: Add smaller rhinestones around the eyes, see what creative designs you come up with.
Lastly, give yourself a photoshoot and show off your new talent.
Hope this makeup look makes your day a bit more special.
