Red halo eye makeup looks are perfect for the holidays! And even if you have plans to stay inside, doesn’t mean you can’t walk around the house looking like a queen.
I love halo eye makeup because you usually only need about 3 shades and gives such a beautiful sunset effect of the eyelids.
Products Used to Create This Halo Eye Makeup:
Start with a clean face & fluffy brows.
Get your eyelids ready for these bold colors by applying an eyeshadow primer.
With a dark brown eyeshadow for the transition color.
Brush the dark brown shadow into the crease and above for a large lid space
Blend the eyeshadow from the inner tear duct to the outer eyelid
Take a burgundy eyeshadow with a dense brush to pack into the crease. This burgundy is going to be the darkest color of this look in order to create depth.
Quick Tip: Make sure there is enough shadow on the outer and inner corners. This is the key to creating a halo eye.
Next, blend a pink eyeshadow on top of your eyelid.
Pink blended with brown will add a peek of color around the eye.
Now, we’re going to cut the crease.
Use a flat brush to create a line above your crease. This is where the halo will begin.
Use makeup remover on a Q-tip to remove the product from the center of the halo.
Fill this area with concealer.
Now, we’re going to create the same gradient in the center of our eyelid to create the halo effect.
Use burgundy in the corners. Then pack the dark purple next to the burgundy. Make sure to leave enough space in the middle to pack in the red.
For extra drama, create a similar gradient underneath the eye.
Line your waterline with a black pencil.
Add Lashes and Mascara.
